Beatriz Delgado Mena (Palencia, 1988) undertook a Film Studies degree in Madrid with a final year in The Netherlands, after which she moved to the UK where she did a Masters degree in Film at Bournemouth University. She is based in London and travels for work in Spain and other countries.
She started working as 2nd AC in commercials and fiction to learn and study with prestigious DPs and in 2015 she would start working as DoP herself in projects such as four feature films (two of them distributed by Sony Pictures). Her work has been seen in festivals such as BFI and Iris Prize Festival and on TV channels such as Channel 4.
Beatriz believes filmmaking is a collaborative art where the most precious thing is to trigger together emotions and feelings in the audience through lighting, pace and framing. Each story requires a different image and Beatriz enjoys discovering what every project demands of her cinematography.
