Lucía graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Vigo and specialized in cinematography at ESCAC. Throughout her career she has worked as director of photography of short films such as ‘MATRIA’ (2017) by Álvaro Gago, winner at Sundance among other festivals. In 2009 she joined the Play-Doc Festival project Filmed Portrait, which evolved into 5 years of continuos learning about documentary film. In 2015 she was responsible for the photography of the documentary ‘Dos Islas’, a Polish production by Adriana F. Castellanos. In 2016 she completed the shooting of the fiction film ‘DHOGS’, by Andrés Goteira, awarded in 2018 with the Mestre Mateo prize for Best Cinematography.
She has always felt attached to the arts, especially cinema. Her work is her way of seeing the world, her way of learning from it. She believes in the ability of images to tell stories and that each member of the team is important in creating those images.
