Tânia da Fonseca was born in Portugal, where she began shooting her first short movie. Pursuing the dream of making movies she moved to Barcelona to study Cinematography in ESCAC.
She started working in movies produced by Filmax and also “The Impossible” by J.A. Bayona.
During the last years she had the privilege of being the cinematographer on some commercials and video clips, also on a documentary shot in Poland as well as a tv series for Disney.
She won her first cinematography awards with the short movies ‘Hibernation’ and ‘Cenizo’ and recently with ´Ella y la oscuridad´.
Her debut in feature film was in ‘The incredible shrinking wknd’ by Jon Mikel Caballero.
